    There is an image holder on the Blog page – but I cannot find where to update it.

    I have tried adding a featured image to that page but this did not work.

    This theme don’t have placeholder to Feature image for Blog Page, here you can see blog page look

    we got your issue actually you should update that particular post feature image not blog page image, open that particular post and update feature image then it will come automatically to Recent blog, please let me know after update it,

    I can now update this image.

    What is the best size for an image to be displayed in this space?

    Also, is there a way to set this to 1 x default image and not to correspond to the featured image of the most recent post?

    you are using small size image now, please use some large sizes then it will set automatically
